The KelseyCare Aetna health plan is affiliated with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, a nationally recognized medical group practice and the first Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in the United States to receive accreditation by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

Nationally Recognized for Excellence in Diabetes Care
More than 95 Kelsey-Seybold physicians have earned a prestigious national certification of excellence in diabetes care, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic physicians now represent the largest number of physicians to earn this certification in Houston. Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program (DRP) is achieved by following a comprehensive, individualized review process that verifies a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes.
Kelsey-Seybold is also accredited by the prestigious Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) for providing high-quality care and services consistent with AAAHC standards.
Kelsey-Seybold also earned NCQA’s Physician Practice Connections Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition at Level 3, the highest level, for its integrated and coordinated care delivery system, which supports quality, access, continuity of care, and better patient involvement.
